The Forestry (Distance Learning) course at Bangor University is intended to provide students with training in the management of forest resources, as well as an understanding of the science, academic, and functional concepts that underpin forest management and forest ecosystem work, as well as the interrelationships between the forests and related land-use of government, industry, and communities.
Careers and Employability
Since this course is offered part-time, students can focus on their career while still fulfilling other work or personal obligations. Current students and recent graduates have found employment as industrial forest managers, forest surveyors, ecological contractors, forestry finance experts, and industry start-ups. Promotion is also an option for those already working in forestry or similar fields.
