This course will prepare students to apply the most recent studies in sustainable production systems thinking and will make it easier for them to enter agroforestry-related professions.
The curriculum is appropriate for those with an interest in agri-food, farming, environmental, conservation, and agricultural policy, and it encompasses both temperate and tropical systems and contexts.
Course aims:
– Investigate the environmental, economic, and social aspects of agroforestry in the sense of food security and environmental change.
– Research how specific agroforestry management activities can increase resource quality and overall food production sustainability.
– Gain a global perspective on whether and how increasing food demand can be met with limited land resources through agroforestry and sustainable intensification.
