This course enables you to examine how to make greater use of research and innovation to enhance the organisation and delivery of healthcare for the benefit of patients. It is a work-based course in which you will be expected to identify and implement service improvement projects within your own work environment.
The course is structured to emphasise the following essential concepts:
Concepts of enhancement science
Approaches founded on evidence
Enhancement and measurement of quality
Additionally, you may submit a claim for credit for prior learning in order to get exemptions from certain modules by completing the module.
The Postgraduate Certificate programme focuses on the acquisition of critical foundational knowledge and abilities. There are progression pathways to the Postgraduate Diploma and MSc with a greater emphasis on customised learning linked to the implementation of innovation and improvement projects, and you may pick from a choice of alternative courses to suit your individual needs.
