During the Applied Linguistics and TESOL course at Anglia Ruskin University, you can investigate the most recent theories in areas such as second language acquisition and social debate, as well as learn various methods of research to determine their relevance to your own language teaching.
You will also learn how to do your own analysis, collecting and analysing qualitative and quantitative data, as well as learning critical-evaluative skills. These abilities can be put to use in your final research project as well as in your future career.
Our optional modules will also encourage you to pursue your own interests, with topics such as course design and classroom practice, as well as ‘Impacts of Migration’ and ‘Language, Identity, and Policy,’ preparing you for a teaching career in Europe or elsewhere.
