The University of Law

The University of Law is a specialist private university. It is one of the oldest legal education providers in the UK. Its origins go back to 1876 with the foundation of the leading tutorial firm Gibson & Weldon, which went on to join The Law Society School of Law. In 1962 these two schools became The College of Law. Finally, in 2012 it was granted full university status and became the University of Law.

The University believes that future lawyers and business leaders learn the profession using realistic, contemporary and practical contexts. Therefore, the University’s ethos is to keep class sizes small while keeping contact hours high.

The University has a business school, ULAW Business, and an online Campus ULAW Online. ULAW Online provides a full range of legal degrees, professional training, and a suite of degrees and Masters from the ULAW Business School.

The University of Law has created an online campus, ULAW Online. This digital campus combines the Law and Business schools to deliver a range of flexible, online undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
ULAW online is dedicated to providing a flexible, structured approach to learning. This makes gaining an industry-respected qualification achievable whiles students balance existing time commitment.
Launched in 2022, ULAW Online has created a high-quality learning experience using the latest technology. QS (Quacquarelli Symonds ) have awarded ULAW 5 Starts for online learning. The QS 5* rating is awarded when an institution is recognised as world-leading.
