NCC Education

Overview

Established in 1966 by the UK government to provide IT training, NCC Education (NCC) is recognised by the Department of Education as an awarding body for Higher Education qualifications and is registered by the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) as an awarding body.

Initially focusing on IT training, NCC has expanded over the years to include a range of business and IT programmes, ranging from primary education to advanced postgraduate Level 7 qualifications.

NCC is a global organisation with offices in the UK, China, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Africa and academic managers stationed worldwide. It provides local learning partners with the teaching and learning support to deliver internationally recognised NCC-accredited courses.

University Qualifications and Pathways

NCC Education qualifications are recognised by universities, professional organisations, and employers worldwide. The institution has built its reputation as a leading education provider and awarding body by implementing rigorous quality assurance processes.

Through its university partnerships, NCC offers validated top-up degrees awarded by the university as well as pathways progression option to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at over 90 universities globally.

Online Learning

NCC education provides a modern, flexible learning environment for their online courses. All the course materials, live sessions and work submissions take place in their dedicated Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)

Each week’s learning starts with a video lecture followed by tutorials and tasks that complement the individual study and assignment work. Students have the opportunity to take part in live discussions at set times with the module leaders and fellow students.

Flexibility

NCC online courses can be completed either full time or part-time. The part-time route is designed for working professionals to be able to gain a recognised UK degree whilst maintaining their career progression.

Learning Materials

All reading materials and resources are available via the VLE students can complete the course without the need to purchase hard copies of books.

Accreditation

NCC Education is an accredited body. This means that it can award certificates that are mapped to the UK qualifications framework that are internationally recognised and can be used for progression on to university programmes around the world.

NCC are regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) and has its qualifications listed on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) in England. This means that they are recognised by university admission teams as being at the correct level and learning outcomes to allow students to progress to higher university level programmes.

Validated Degrees

NCC delivers two online top-up degrees validated and awarded by the University of Central Lancaster (UCLan). This process involves students being taught by NCC academics with their work graded and recognised by UCLan. Students on these courses graduate from UCLan with a UCLan degree certificate and transcript.

Entry Requirements

This is a final-year degree top-up programme. All students must join the programme having gained 240 academic credits.

Example qualifications: 

• NCC Education Level 4 Diploma in Computing and Level 5 Diploma in Computing

• Pearson BTEC HND in Computing (Cyber Security)

• OTHM – Level 4 and Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology

English Language Requirements

Proof of English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or above.

There two intakes each year for the online degrees- March & September
