The Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diploma in Allied Health Professions is designed for learners who want to study a health-related degree but do not currently hold the qualifications usually needed for university entry.

Allied Health Professionals work across a wide range of healthcare settings, including hospitals, community services, clinics, rehabilitation teams, diagnostic departments, emergency care, public health and specialist support services. These roles often focus on helping people recover, communicate, move, manage conditions, regain independence, improve wellbeing or receive accurate diagnosis and treatment.

This Diploma provides the academic foundation needed to progress to higher education. You will study a combination of human biology, anatomy and physiology, health and social care, communication, ethics, equality, health promotion, research and academic skills. These areas are designed to support progression into university-level study and prepare you for the expectations of health-related degree programmes.

Upon successful completion, you will be able to apply for relevant Allied Health Professions and wider health-related degree courses at universities across the UK. As entry requirements vary between universities and courses, we always recommend checking the specific requirements of your chosen degree before enrolling.
