Course Overview
The Online Business School’s Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training enables its graduates to teach in the post-16 tertiary education sector of colleges and community schools.

Teaching Progression
This level 5 certificate will allow students to teach in colleges and community schools’ post-16 higher education sector. Membership in the Society of Education & Training is the only way to teach in the state school sector with this level 5 certificate (SET).

To be eligible for SET membership, students must have completed their Initial Teacher Training (ITT). ITT entails completing a level 5 teacher training programme, providing candidates have already passed a level 2 (GCSE) Maths and English or equivalent. Students who complete the courses receive their Qualified Teacher Learning Skills (QTLS), which are comparable to the Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are adequate to teach in public schools and higher education.
